La Cornisa Newsletter 2018, October
A quick update for you all on SECURITY as yet again we have been having some issues that you need to be aware of:
THERE HAS BEEN ANOTHER SPATE OF BURGLARIES IN THE AREA AND A FEW ATTEMPTED BURGLARIES WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY. REMEMBER TO LOCK YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS AND ALWAYS BE VIGILANT.
WE WILL WORK ON A PROPOSAL FOR THE AGM TO ADDRESS SECURITY WITHIN THE COMMUNITY YET AGAIN. This will need the support of the owners for us to implement the changes.
Please remember we have access to the Calahonda Security if you or your guests have any concerns you can call them directly on 699 907 865. We have asked them to patrol the community as part of their night time patrols.
SATELLITTE DISHES / ANTENNAS
At our latest AGM, March 7, 2018, it was decided that we would dismantle our TV antennas / dishes on the roofs in blocks 1 and 2. This is because most tenants today have access to TV through the internet. However, there are tenants who still depend on having an antenna / dish on the roof.
For these tenants, they must notify us before 31 October 2018
AGM 7TH MARCH 2019
Historically the AGM is attended by a small number of owners each year and we are keen to get as many owners to take part as possible. We appreciate that not everyone can attend but it is in your interests to take part and have an active voice, we need your support to be able to make changes and continue to improve our community.
Please if you can, put the date in your diary, book the flights and be an active member of OUR community. If you can’t attend then use your proxy vote, appoint another owner to be your voice and make your wishes clear to them so you can be represented.
You will be sent a copy of the agenda and the proxy vote form will be attached.
An independent translator will be in attendance for our Spanish speaking owners.
If you would like any item added to the agenda then please let us know as soon as possible.
The law has changed recently in Andalucía and there are strict new laws in place with regards to apartment rentals (Registro de Turismo de Andalucia). Failure to comply can result in hefty fines.
The government has appointed a team to find rental properties that do not comply. All owners are now legally obliged to register their guests (paying or not) with the local police when they are using your property. If you would like more information then let us know as we have the opportunity to invite a specialist company to attend the AGM to inform us all on what we need to do to comply with the law.
Remember Fernando and his team are available to assist should you need any anything.
