La Cornisa Newsletter 2017, November

A hot summer is over and we can turn off the fans and air conditioned as well as start planning for the autumn. As usual, summer has been well-attended. Unfortunately, I have to re-emphasize that our tenants do not follow the rules we decided on using our pools.

To the tenants of the apartments / houses, it is the owner’s task to inform about current rules. To shower before bathing should be a matter of course as well as the use of inflatable toys in the pool are forbidden. A sharpening thus! The fact that people do not have showers have meant that water quality has not always been the best and that we have had to add chlorine.

During the summer we have had problems with algae in our pools and that mosaic bits have been unloaded in the pool in block 2. Because the mosaic is mostly loose on the bottom, this is not included in our guarantee as the bottom has not been renovated by the company without this being a waste of time lack of maintenance. The board now discusses whether or not we should let an independent company manage the maintenance of our pools. We are currently requesting quotations for a possible change. The issue will be discussed at the forthcoming annual meeting.
We have also visited unwelcome guests, which resulted in the board appointing a security team. The results of the group’s work will also be reported at the forthcoming Board meeting. The painting of our urbanization has continued during the late spring and summer. Inevitably this has caused some inconvenience to our residents.

The Board is, however, pleased today with the way the painting has been done and above all we are satisfied with the underwork. When the work is completed, the Board will send a questionnaire to all residents to give everyone the opportunity to express their views on the painting work.

We have also had visits by four-legged unwelcome guests, wild boars.Unfortunately, they have caused major damage to our green areas. We are in dialogue with the EUC about the possibility of getting rid of the wild boars. But it is easier said than done.

During the autumn, a review of the roof will be done on block 1 and block 2.

In order to reduce water consumption, an investigation will be conducted to reduce our green areas. The idea is to build more lots of shrubs and plants. But we are also open to other suggestions. The first ten proposals sent to undersigned, ([email protected]), is rewarded with a wristwatch, which is donated by a member of the association. Only one clock per house /apartment. The investigation will be presented at the forthcoming annual meeting.

A work has begun replacing the doors of our water cabinet to aluminum. In line with our economy, this work will continue for a number of years.
Traditionally we had our Spanish evening on October 7th. More than 60 people participated in the festivities. And that was a record! Ample dining table a Spanish singer and guitarist entertained as well as live music enhanced the atmosphere.
Finally, I want to invite all who have a debt to the association, pay immediately. A meeting with our lawyer is scheduled for November to follow up the people who are indebted and are subject to a legal process.
